Our Work

Featured Project: Moorland Mobility

In February 2010, Matrix Ice, decided to team up with Terry and Malcom Connop from, Moorland Mobility to modify a new scooter for all ages. This friendship was formed from a local business meeting in Stoke-on-Trent called BNI.

BNI is a company that help small businesses get together once a week and broadcast there business to other businesses in the meeting, we would call it networking.

We met Terry when she was demonstrating her scooters at BNI, he noticed that the scooters were missing so many valuable safety devices, and thought that for the younger clients might like to have their mobility scooters equipt with entertainment devices. We then decided to contribute his ideas to the Moorland Mobility team, who in tern thought it was an amazing idea that no one had yet thought off. Within two days we were able to fit two scooters for demonstration with, front and rear reverse sensors, a hands free phone kit, music device for your iPod, a safety alarm and under carriage lighting, to allow them to bee seen at night, from a 360' dimension.

Within two weeks we had been in four papers, on the Radio, and on Central news with this idea. The scooters are becoming more popular and are beginning to sell really well. This in turn is making the scooters a new must have for all chair bound customers, as it is the safest way for them to get around. Due to the demand for a safer scooter a well known company have contacted the team about the scooters, and are going to manufacture them. So keep a look out for our new super scooters!!!
